NGPIF 2024 CALL FOR PAPERS

We are delighted to invite you to submit your presentations for the upcoming 2024 Nigerian Peering and Interconnection Forum, which will be held in Lagos, Nigeria on October 23rd and 24th, 2024.

Event Overview

The Nigeria Peering and Interconnection Forum is an annual event that brings together Internet Service Providers (ISPs), network operators, data center managers, and various industry stakeholders to engage in critical discussions, share best practices, and foster collaborative efforts to enhance Nigeria’s peering and interconnection landscape. 

 The event will take place on 23rd – 24th October 2024 at Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos Nigeria, and will be attended by Industry leaders, professionals, and key stakeholders in the internet ecosystem.

The conference format includes keynotes, presentations, panel sessions, tutorials, and lightning talks. There are also dedicated networking sessions and social events.

Event Theme: National Network Resilience

Subthemes for Submission:

  • Fiber Cuts
  • SubSea Cables (Telegeography)
  • Terrestrial Cables
  • Energy/Power
  • Content
  • Industry Regulation (covering Peering, Internet Governance, and regulatory topics)
  • Interconnection and peering trends

Presentation Guidelines:

  • Full presentations are required; abstracts will not be accepted.
  • Duration of presentations: Please prepare for a duration of either 20, 30, or 40 minutes.
  • Each submission should include a detailed paper and accompanying slides.

  • Submission Deadline: August 31, 2024
  • Event Dates: October 23-24, 2024

Submission Process:

  • Prepare your presentation, ensuring it aligns with one of the subthemes listed.
  • Include your contact information, the chosen subtheme, and the preferred duration of your presentation.

Selection Criteria:

  • Relevance to the theme and chosen subtheme.
  • Clarity and depth of the presentation content.
  • Originality and expected contribution to the discussion on network resilience.
